The creation of an association now known as Bagong Bayan Movement Kilusan ng Pagkakaisa (BBMKP)’s inspiration was drawn from the legacy and advocacy of various nation-loving nationalistic Filipinos primarily from our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. This noble Filipino’s advocacy for equality and love for the Filipino and the Philippines as well as his nationalism which eventually led to his ultimate sacrifice and martyrdom which BBMKP dubbed as Rizalism is likewise our main driving advocacy.

 

The same love to the Filipino people and the Philippines propels BBMKP members to bond together to help alleviate the hardship and poverty of the marginalized and poor community both from urban and rural areas whose livelihood and well-being are often at risk due to worsening disasters and calamities.
 

BBMKP also adhere to the belief of the traditional nationalist giving preference and priority for the Filipinos to enjoy the nation’s patrimony while at the same time liberal in the acceptance of foreign investors and sharing the use of our natural resources for the welfare and common good of all the people not only in the Philippines but all over the world.
 

In matter of governance, BBMKP share the same view with those who believe in federalism. It is the belief of BBMKP that the vastly diverse culture, language and heritage of the Filipino people can be best given attention and address properly if this archipelagic nation will be governed through a federalize form of government which recognizes and tolerate local autonomy to maintain unity of the nation through diversified governance.
 

For the past more than ten (10) years, prior to its formal incorporation as a de jure organization, with the end goal of making the Philippines a globally competitive, progressive, prosperous, environmentally healthy and safer place to live in, BBMKP is also actively working with both government and non-government organizations as well as with various civic and people’s organization who share the same dreams and aspirations for our beloved Motherland, the Philippines.
